We have an attic attack going on here at Weltenville!  No, it isn’t some roleplay fight to the death held in a sweaty little crawlspace above our Weltenville Tavern.  So what is our attic attack about?

Weltenville is having its first ever Garage Sale this year!  We’re more excited than we should be, to announce this SL event.  Why?  Because we have never done one before, and we enjoy seeing how this works, and most of all, everyone is having such a great time with it.

Hunt out some hot finds:  Gently used, gorgeous outfits, one-of-a-kind Hunt items, clothes, shoes and accessories old and new, jewelry, furnishings, appliances, high end, low end, and everything in between is here for you to find.

Get some cool deals:  We know you love quality, and a bargain!  So, we gathered up the folks living here at Weltenville, and offered them a chance to join in the fun, and increase the variety of what we have out for your bargains.  These items reflect a wide range of styles, so you’re sure to walk away with great sale treasures, and you’ll have a chance to meet some of our friendly crew here in between the browsing and cool deals.

Weltenville Pier Renovations Update

The work on the Weltenville Pier is nearing completion ahead of schedule!

When you stroll the Pier and docks of Weltenville now, you feel even more of the openness and welcome atmosphere of our oceanside pier.  A smaller, more charming Weltenville Tavern, with fireplace always burning cheerfully and cozy outdoor tables, greet you.  The Weltenville Police Station is situated nearby should you have any cause for concern being at this docks and lighthouse area known for seeing privateers to safe harbor in the later night hours.

A stroll back along the beach behind the bar brings you to our brand new lower level shopping area, a casual few spots ready for rentals fitting nicely in the area.  Touches of color in this area add to the tropical fun.  For your shopping, we have kept our upper level filled with the Pierside Print Shop for in-world printing solutions, Somaa’s Boutique for fine home decor, vases and rugs,  LuminesScents Leather Scented Candles in SL, and HawkWing Designs in SL (an art/illustration business in the real world).

At the walkway corner leading to our business and shopping main street is the Weltenville Rental Office.  And there are a few rentals available!  But not many.

We love the refreshing, open-air design of our Weltenville Pier, and we are sure you will enjoy your time with us!

Remembering a Friend, a Setites Vampyre, a Warrior

Weltenville Pier Makeover

The Weltenville pierside is about to have a big makeover to bring even more appeal to its many visitors. What’s in the works for this area of Weltenville, and how it will add to your experience there?

This major renovation focuses on the Weltenville Tavern. While this beautiful building has long been a familiar landmark near the docks, its time has come and gone.

We’re calling in the Weltenville demolition crew to bring down the Tavern safely in preparation for the new, more open pub, shops, and walkways. You can soon ease back at the seashore, walk comfortably and browse the goods in the fresh pierside design with expanded shopping access to original creators of fine goods. Expect an open air, tropical environment to the area having a preserved sense of colorful history.

The pub at the Weltenville Pier keeps a breezy, elegant dancefloor to enjoy a graceful and sensual dance caressed by fresh breeze. Let the scents and sounds of the new Pier add to your visit in a quaint, tropical way.

We can’t wait to show it off to you!

The Neith Merfolk On The Rise

We have heard talk (alright, we initiated some of the talk) of a more active presence of the Neith Merfolk at our Weltenville and related sims.

Neith Mer swim and live native to our waters at Weltenville, Salliohsis, Poolside and Leafminer sims areas in Second Life. The Neith population has increased and even includes some gorgeous mermen as well as the lovely mermaids found here.

Neith Mer are a relatively small group of mer, but finer merfolk you will not likely meet. Gabonica Lorefield serves as their High Priestess in the roleplay by an arrangement made at the very start of the Setites move to Weltenville so long ago. It is rumored the Neith Mer and the Setites have an even longer acquaintance back in the days when all such pacts between mythical beings were made in other than paper or even carven form.

We did start work on some events specific to merfolk, so far successfully finishing one full mer DJ gathering over at the Biker Parties waters and a few casual “Mer Days” at Weltenville and our area at Salliohsis. We anticipate larger fun events at our Weltenville-Salliohsis mer waters as well very soon!

Also in the works is a sweet little mer shopping area, where the creators amongst the Neith Mer as well as some of our creative friends may offer a their finely crafted mer-related products for sale. We plan to be selective in the offerings.

Weltenville’s First Gridwide Hunt Ends 4/25/11

Weltenville’s first ever Gridwide Good Egg/Bad Egg Hunt ends on April 25, 2011 after a successful run of about three weeks.

This first gridwide hunt of ours was quite well attended, drawing folks in from all over the Second Life Grid. We view of this first of many large scale, gridwide hunts as both a learning experience and a lot of fun.

Literally hundreds of people in-world joined the fun, many deciding to take both the Good Egg Path and the Bad Egg Path to completion. The hunt prizes were of a fine quality, we were proud of these original creations, and the feedback kept everyone enthusiastic. Part of the fun is in the greeting of the hunters and later hearing some very positive reactions after they’ve opened some of their hunt prizes.

I encourage anyone who takes part in a Hunt and really enjoys particular prizes to just take the briefest moment to find the name of the creator and let them know about that! You’d be surprised what a pleasure it is to hear.

And so, with this Hunt about over, we are already in the beginning stages of talking over the next Weltenville Gridwide Hunt!
